History of the Maze

In 2010 Montana Corn Maze created the first maze on 0.8 acres in the shape of the sun setting over the mountains of Montana.  The maze was expanded to 2.5 acres for the 2011 season and then again in the 2018 season to 4.5 acres. In 2020, the maze expanded to 5 acres.  The 2020 maze theme is Lewis and Clark.

About the Maze

The maze is created by cutting 4 foot wide paths by walking out into our corn field that has been planted in a grid.  The maze is drawn and cut without the use of computers or GPS.  There are 3 challenges in the maze suitable for all levels!  For younger kids, the goal is find pictures of animals in the mini maze.  For those that need a quick maze experience, there are 10 pumpkin pictures to find.  For those that really need a challenge in the full maze, there are 15 signs to find before you can exit.  These will all be contactless searches to comply with Gallatin County Health Department COVID-19 guidelines.
